Whether you're an Austin native or not, you've likely heard of South By Southwest. This annual event brings celebrities, films, art, music, and more to the Texas city for several weeks in a row, and whether you have a badge or not, there are plenty of activities that are free and open to the public. One free Disney's Marvel SXSW event is looking especially cool as you'll be able to experience The New Mutants, a new Marvel thriller movie, before it even hits theatres!
If you haven't heard of The New Mutants by now then you should definitely check their trailer out.
It's one of the darker movies Marvel has made, and the lineup of actors makes it all the more exciting. Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Charlie Heaton to name a few.
On Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14,is hosting an immersive and frightening experience called Activation: "The New Mutants" Facility.
SXSW film festival attendees will leave the event absolutely terrified, well beforeis actually here.
Come out on either day from 12 to 10 p.m. and experience a facility similar to what the mutants went through in the movie.
At Activation: "The New Mutants" Facility, you'll get to journey through a 360° visual environment and a gamified escape room where many of your fears will come to light.
Almost everything is interactive, so it won't be your typical haunting experience.
If there's anything you check out at SXSW it should definitely be this. Especially since it's open for everyone to enjoy.
You'll have all day either day to come out and experience it, and since it's free why not try it more than once!?
The movie hits theatres on Friday, April 3 and we have a feeling you'll be even more excited to see it after SXSW is over.
