On Sunday, September 22 for as long as the museum of your choice is open, you can experience participating museums in Austin for no money at all! Don't let the fact that they have to be participating scare you away, because more than 40 museums in the ATX area are opening their doors for free. Chances are, the one on your bucket list is just a drive away and won't cost you a thing.
The Blanton Museum of Art, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and Women & Their Work Gallery are just some of the museums participating in Austin Museum Day. Museum Day is actually happening across Texas the day before Austin Museum Day, but it has some limitations to it. You're only able to visit one museum per email, although it does allow you and one other person to go. Texas is filled with things to do and see, so you'll never feel bored in the Lone Star State.
