It's no wonder why so many people call Austin their home; it's filled with so many hidden gems that even we're losing track. One gorgeous spot that's constantly on our radar is Zilker Botanical Garden, an oasis that tops the list of things to see here in the city. From it's decorative gardens to it's relaxing pools of water, the beauty is hard to capture in just one photo. Get ready for your heart and your camera roll to be filled to the brim!
Zilker Botanical Garden is open to the public all day long from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. throughout the week. It's 26 acres of beauty, so you just might need the entire day to see what makes it "the jewel in the heart of Austin". Luckily, admission into the garden is only $3 for adults, making it almost impossible to stray away from.
There are themed gardens throughout the 26 acres such as Rose, Herb, Japanese gardens, and more. You'll pass over streams by walking over their many bridges, and you just might see Koi-filled ponds while you do. Remember when I mentioned filling up your camera roll? Now, you see why.
There's plenty of photo ops such as a massive butterfly and even a Cretaceous dinosaur habitat within the Hartman Prehistoric Garden. This place truly does have it all! The garden is near tons of other fun things to do and see, so if you're not ready to go home once six o'clock rolls around, don't hesistate to check out the rest of the beauty Austin has to offer.
