There is nothing better than getting to the top of a hike and being greeted with a delightfully breathtaking view. North Texas has just the spot for that. The Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano has amazing views all around and a great lookout to end your hike off right. The 200-acre park takes biking, hiking, and just general hanging out to the next level.
There are both paved and unpaved trails at the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. The paved trail is about three miles long and the unpaved trail is also three miles long and is open from dusk to dawn every day. They also have a designated off-road biking trail that is about two miles long with tons of adventures along the way.
One of the unique features of this park is that they have wifi throughout it! They do have picnic spots spread out around the park for a peaceful lunch with a friend or partner. You can also rent a pavilion for only $100 which is good for six hours of the day. The park is divided into three sections: Black Land Prairie, Riparian forest, and Upland forest. Each section has something amazing to offer including creeks and plenty of wildlife.
The preserve is free to the public and is open every day of the week from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Because it is a preserve, the park emphasizes cleaning up after yourself and your pets at all times. There are tons of creeks and beautiful spots to take in you wouldn't want to miss out on a day here.
