Being outdoors is a great way to relieve stress. Disconnecting from the world for a day or two will help you unwind and make you feel new. Thankfully for us, Texas has Atlanta State Park for a perfectly relaxing getaway. The massive park is 33,750 acres and you can camp and swim to your heart's delight.
Visitors of the park are more than welcome to swim and water ski in the designated areas. There are also areas where you can fish and some visitors have caught up to 75-pound catfish in the lake. The park is made up of pine trees, making it shady enough to be comfortable without blocking the amazing nature views.
Summer is their busy season but don't worry, they have 58 different campsites for visitors to use. Camping starts at just $14! The sites come with a picnic table, water hooks up and 30 amp-hookups. They are a first come/first serve basis but no matter where you are in the parl, you can expect an amazing view.
The park is open every day with a daily entrance fee of $3. Guests are allowed to borrow basketballs, volleyballs, and horseshoes to use in the park and there are so many awesome trails to explore so you'll never be bored. The park is also close to the three state mark so you can travel to Texas, Arkansas, and Lousiana all at once.
