This Beautiful Preserve In Dallas Has Miles Of Scenic Trails And Springs To Explore

Texas has no shortage of amazing places to see. If you're looking for an amazing place to spend the day outside, we got you covered. Cedar Ridge Preserve in Dallas is a great place to get out and explore. They have springs and tons of views from above that will take your breath away.
Their trails tend to be pretty short with the longest being about two miles long. Throughout the trails, you'll find several pavilions where you can rest or even have a picnic. You might also find benches with amazing outlooks so you can enjoy a view before heading back.
The preserve has about 600 acres to explore. You might run into a field full of the amazing blooming flowers of the season. Bird watching is also very popular in the preserve, with people constantly on the look for Cardinals, Eastern Bluebirds, and Goldfinch. The main attraction is the Black-capped Vireo which is regarded as a very rare bird that can be seen around the preserve.
They also have butterfly gardens in their picnic areas where you can watch butterflies go through all of the different stages in their lives. The area has tons of trees that provide the perfect amount of shade to make your day out pleasant.
The preserve is free to enter but a $3 donation is recommended upon arriving. They are open from 6:30 a.m. until sundown. The only day the preserve is closed is on Monday.
