The Dallas Arboretum Is Transforming Into A Scene Out Of The Nutcracker This Winter
I think the turtledoves are over there!
No matter what time of year it is, a stroll through the garden seems to be an excellent relaxing way to enjoy the day. Well, now you'll be able to stroll through the winter version of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, where they are bringing out their holiday cheer. This year the theme is The 12 days of Christmas, and it's kicking off on November 9.
The event will feature 25-foot tall Victorian-style gazebos that are dressed up to give the ultimate Christmas vibes. While you can visit them during the day, the garden also opens at night past their normal hours so you can see the displays in full action.
Normally tickets for the garden are about $10, but for this event, they are just $5. If you want to come back later that evening for the night light show, your ticket will be around $17. You'll be able to take pics with all of their characters from the song, including the 3 french hens and all the twelve drummers drumming.
The DeGolyer House will also have a holiday makeover, and you'll be able to stop by their market for some holiday shopping. Each room of the house will have something for you to look at and maybe even some snacks.
The garden itself will be covered in one million lights, so even when you're not looking at all the gazebos, you'll be surrounded by magical lights for the season.
For more seasonal fun, check out the, where they will have life-sized lanterns of all your favorite animals.
