You Can Help Break A Guinness World Record At The Dallas Arboretum This Weekend
The Dallas Arboretum will attempt to break the world record for largest bunny hop.
With the holiday weekend coming up, you're probably remembering doing the bunny hop at family parties when you were younger. Your parents probably made you get in line with all the other kids and maybe some adults too. Well, get ready to relive your childhood because The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is trying to break the world record for the largest bunny hop this Saturday. Everyone of all ages are urged to join in for the free event to break a world record!
The stunning garden is having this event rain or shine and it is free with general admission to the garden so if you were planning to be there anyway you might as well join in the fun and break a Guiness record. The event will take place in the Jonsson Color Garden where people will start lining up at 11 a.m.
The hop will start at exactly noon but it is not yet known how long the entire thing will take. Be prepared for a lot of laughter and hopping!
The current world record for the largest bunny hop is held by Delta, Utah. They broke the record on the 4 of July in 2007 with 3,841 people joining in. This means the garden needs at least 3,842 people to hold the record. North Dakota tried to break the record about three years ago but unfortunately, they didn't have enough people.
Once the hop is done you are more than welcome to stick around for their egg themed programs like egg decorating and a scavenger hunt or you can take a tour of the rest of the gardens. The gardens are open on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and tickets range from $10 to $15.
The Dallas Arboretum and Botantical Garden is located at 8525 Garland Rd, Dallas, TX 75218. For more information about this egg-cellent event, you can check out their official website here.
