Dallas' First Ever European Christmas Village Is Here Just In Time For The Holidays
You'll feel like you're in Europe!
Nothing says Christmas like a small, traditional European village. With lights everywhere, the unmistakable aroma of fresh hot chocolate and the traditional white-painted houses and gabled roofs, these places look like true Christmas postcards. Luckily, we don't have to head all the way to Europe this winter because the Dallas Arboretum is opening the cutest European Christmas village all December and we are more than ready to explore it all.
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is debuting a brand new Christmas Village, inspired by the ancient European markets, for the first time this year as part of their holiday celebrations.
The small-town display is part of the traditional The 12 Days of Christmas at Night and will be open until December 31st.
The charming tiny town was a donation from Pauline and Austin Neuhoff and comprises about 12 almost 20 feet tall houses with the decors and embellishments found in the authentic European Christmas Markets.
With the admission ticket for, you will be able to explore this gorgeous small village.
Discover the cutest holiday business like a post office, a bookstore, a flower shop, the clock tower, a bakery, and a candy shop.
Even the workers will be dressed like in the old times!
Since this whole season is about the beauty of giving, every small business will treat you with free samples. The bakery and the candy shop will have free baked goods and candy, and the butcher will offer you delicious warm treats.
At the flower shop, take home a packet of seeds to grow your own flowers, and pass by the bookstore to take with you a very unique bookmark. This is just to mention a few.
Don't forget to pass by the Band Stand to enjoy the performances of local choirs and ensembles throughout the day and each night. They also have a juggler performance on Friday evenings.
You cannot visit a special Christmas town such as this and don't go to see Santa Claus. At Santa’s House children and adults may discuss their wishlists with Santa and take one-of-a-kind pictures.
The house will be open on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. until December 18, and Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. until December 22.
From now and until December 31st. The Dallas Arboretum will let you visit this amazing European Village, but also the new “Christkindlmarket Treasures” exhibit at the historic DeGolyer House, and millions of lights displays around the gardens. Simply magical.
Definitely it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
