Dallas Is Having Its First Ever Massive Thrifting Convention This Weekend
Do you got $20 in your pocket?
Thrifting is truly amazing. You get to find old vintage pieces and give them new life for super cheap prices. It's one of those things where you can mix old fashion with new and find a few surprises along the way. If you've got the thrifting bug, you're in luck because Dallas is having their very first thrifting convention this weekend on August 3rd.
You'll be surprised at some of the things you might find at the convention. Vendors are bringing everything from vintage toys to rare finds and fashionable clothing. Oddities like Mona Lisa salt and pepper shakers will be on display as well as crystals, woodcarvings, and even jewels.
A record store will also be attending the event so you might find a golden musical treasure or two. There will be food vendors at the event as well, so if you happen to get hungry while doing all that vintage shopping, you can stop for a quick bite to eat before going back in. With over 40 vendors plus a live DJ, all of the good shopping fun will be had this weekend.
Remember that is a thrifting convention full of local thrift vendors from across the state so not all vendors accept credit cards so you might want to stop by the bank and get some cash before arriving at the event. You can totally pop some tags with only $20 in your pocket!
Tickets for the event are $3 per person or 2 people for $5 and will be available at the door. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. giving you plenty of time to check out all the vendors and find all of those awesome rare goodies.
The event will take place at the Grand Hall at the NRH Center located at 6000 Hawk Ave., North Richland Hills, Texas 76180. For more information on the event, you can visit their webpage here.
