Instagrammable pop-ups seem to be all over the Metroplex these days but most are only around for a short period of time. Now a brand new interactive exhibit named Pic-Ology will be opening in DFW permanently. Pic-Ology will be hitting the streets later this summer and will bring around 10 changing interactive rooms with it and if that's not enough to excite you, they will also have a VIP area!
The exhibit doesn't have an exact opening date just yet but it's aiming to open late July or early August. The massive exhibit will never get boring as they will switch out rooms every three to six months, depending on the popular demand of the current IG worthy exhibition. They even hope to host events there once things really get going!
Most of the rooms have been kept under wraps with followers only getting glimpses of what the art might look like. Marketing architect for the exhibit Tianna Decamp said, "We're just a little different [from other DFW interactive pop-ups]; we want everyone to get that warm fuzzy feeling like the one people get when they visit an amusement park for the first time."
Some of the rooms that have been already announced include incredible sights like a red and blue theory room and a room of mirrors. The project is the brainchild of Crystal McGee who put this whole colorful exhibit together.
The goal of the exhibit is not only to push limits by making the unimaginable real but also to have people interact with each other, not only with the art. Tickets will start at $25 for general admission and you can also purchase the $35 ticket that comes with a goodie bag. The VIP ticket will be $45 and allows you to dress in costume an bring a guest.
Pic-ology will be located at 5100 TX-121 Suite C, Colleyville, TX 76034. For more information, you can visit their website here.
