Growing up, especially in Texas, you might have wished that you could go and hang out with dinosaurs much as they did in Jurrasic World. While we haven't quite gotten to the point of Jurrasic Park yet, we are getting closer with a park full of robotic dinos. If you're looking for the next best thing to real dinos, you can visit Dinosaur World in Glen Rose, Texas. The park has just about 150 life-sized dinosaurs scattered around and ready for you to explore.
The park has several fun activities you can take part in including fossil digging, bone digging, and dino gem excavations. They also have a museum that has both real and cast models of fossils that visitors can enjoy. There are also robots that show guests how these creatures might have moved when they were around.
Visitors are encouraged to bring coolers with their own snacks and there are picnic areas where you can hang out with incredible dinos in the background. Dogs are welcome inside the park as long as they stay on the leash. There are several spots where you can take pictures with dinos or inside dino eggs! There is also a lookout where you can see tons of dinos gathering to get a sip of water.
Tickets to the park are about $13 for adult general admission and $20 for adult excavation which includes looking for dino gems. You can visit the park on Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 9 a.m.to 6 p.m. on weekends.
