Living in the Metroplex is great because there is always something to do and see. Sometimes, it can get a little crazy and for that, a nice stroll through the gardens is a great way to relax. The Grapevine Botanical Gardens will make you feel like you've been transported away from the city long enough for a great day out.
The garden is filled with fountains and shady areas that will keep you refreshed even in this 100-degree weather. You'll find picture-perfect spots all around as they have plenty of open space and benches where you can have a picnic. In the northern part of the garden, you'll be able to visit their beautiful greenhouse. Visitors are more than welcome to just walk in — or you can schedule a tour to see what they are growing during any season. You will also find tons of amazing art all around. They have a very tall sculpture filled with butterflies that is absolutely breathtaking.
If you're lucky, you might visit while one of their free classes is going on. The garden often has free photography or gardening classes among the water fountains and tall trees all around you.
The garden is completely free to enter any day of the week and they are open *from sunrise to sunset. Visitors have tons of time to explore the garden which means you can stop by the koi pond for hours.
