Get ready to soar in the sky this summer and no, where not talking about getting on an airplane. The Lions Balloon festival is coming to Dallas this summer on August 16th and 17th. The festival will give you a chance to enjoy live music, balloon rides and hang out on a nice summer day.
The festival is completely free with tons to look at. During the festival, guests are welcome to bring picnic blankets and chairs while they see some of their favorite hot air balloons take off. Visitors can also take tethered balloon rides for $20 but don't worry, you'll never floar too far from the ground.
To get the best experience at the festival, we recommend getting there early at around 7 a.m. when the wind is a little more forgiving. There will be a food court on site which is cash only and beer will also be available for purchase. And the fun doesn't stop there, the event will also have a petting zoo and a bounce house.
The main stage will host performances by Van Gogh’s Ear Band and Ryan Glenn Band. The festival will also have an exciting classic car show. Parking for guests will be available at Marcus High School Athletic Complex located on 2800 Dixon Lane.
Lions Balloon Festival will be held at 2200 Briarhill Boulevard in Highland Village. For more information on the festival, you can visit their website here.
