By this point, finding something one of a kind in Texas can be a little challenging. It seems like every time you find something you think is special, five of your friends have already been there and it has already become old news. The good thing is that Texas is such a big state filled with hidden gems ready for you to explore. One of those gems is Marion Sansom Park in Fort Worth, and you can take all of your friends there to show them something completely new.
The park has tons of great features including access to Lake Worth's trickling waterfall. It's most popular for hiking because of the parks amazing cliff views. Several of the hiking trails lead you above the trees for the greenest view and you can also get a breathtaking view of the water down below. While exploring the trails, you might find tunnels made of tree branches or you may run into very strange objects like abandoned home appliances. There are hiking trails for every level from beginner to expert.
Visitors are allowed to canoe on the water as long as they bring their own equipment or rent it from one of the shops nearby. You can go fishing on the water and feel free to bring your favorite puppy with you as long as they stay on their leash.
There is no entry fee for the park and it is always open but we do recommend you exercise caution when going at night. With the beautiful water wall and great lake vistas, this stunning park is a can't miss this summer.
