When you run out of things to post on your Insta feed, it can be kind of hard to find a fun place to explore and take pictures that really inspire your artistic side. Thankfully, we have Murrell Park near Dallas where there is something amazing around every corner. The park has tons of wonderful spots to relax, plus a lake that at sunset is completely breathtaking.
The park offers access to Grapevine Lake but is still secluded enough to where there aren't tons of people photobombing your shot. There are massive rocks that lead you to the lake so you can be on the water without ever getting wet. If you do decide to take a dip, the water is pretty refreshing year-round and boy, does it help when that Texas heat really starts to pick up!
The park is great for picnicking, hiking, mountain biking, boating, and fishing. Throughout the park you'll find yourself surrounded by trees. While you can have an amazing picnic at the park, all glass containers are prohibited so be eco-friendly!
The park can be closed at times due to flooding and with the massive storms that have been happening around North Texas, we suggest checking their website before heading out. Camping at the park is only $10.
The park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day and there is no entry fee for the park. Any spot in the park that you pick will surely be amazing for your next Insta post.
Murrell Park is located at 880 Simmons Rd, Flower Mound, TX 75022. For more information on the park, you can visit their website here.
