Prather Park in Highland Park, Texas will make you feel like you've been transported into a new, magical world. The park has bridges, a beautiful creek, and some very interesting pixie statues hanging around.
The park is truly scenic any time of year but if you are going in the summer, you'll be happy to know there is plenty of shade to keep you cool during your exploring. More notable features of Prather Park include a small cliff right above the water where tons of people love to go and get their pictures taken. There are benches throughout the park that are surrounded by trees making them a great place for a picnic.
Some of the statues you might encounter in the otherworldly park include pixies riding turtles and playing instruments, among others. There is a tennis court that visitors are more than welcome to use for a bit of summer fun. Most of the scenic paths will lead you to stone bridges that are so beautiful, you'll be dying to run across dramatically on them.
The park is public so there is no entry fee and it is open 24 hours a day but we do suggest you exercise caution when visiting at night.
