Grapevine Is Getting Giant Ice Slides & Snow Tubing This November
Even Mr. Freeze would be jealous of this creation.
Texas doesn't typically turn into an icy, snowy wonderland come the holiday season, as most places do in the movies. Thankfully, Gaylord Texan is bringing us all the magical ice fun. The resort is giving the DFW Metroplex an icy wonderland with its exciting ICE! exhibit. You'll be able to experience two million pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures all around you.
This year they are featuring tons of Charlie Brown themed art to give you some real nostalgia feels. The exhibit has a maze that you'll be able to stroll down, and we suggest you use all your winter layering knowledge since the entire thing is kept at a very cool nine degrees. While this spectacular event doesn’t kick off until November 15, tickets are already on sale ranging from $15 to $24.
Beautiful art isn't the only thing you’ll be able to see and do, ICE! lets you take action with interactive features. One of those features is a massive slide that even Elsa would be jealous of. The tubing area has eight lanes and lets you ride down on a snowy hill. This perfectly instagrammable event also features a life-sized gingerbread house!
You are going to be given jackets and gloves upon your arrival to keep you warm. It takes about 30 minutes to get through the entire thing. You do have to sign up for a time slot when purchasing your ticket.
Tickets for ICE! are already on sale and that includes their VIP packages as well. To purchase your tickets check out their ticket site here. Once you're done having all this icy fun, check out which features the world's longest light tunnel.
