Pixar has filled our childhood, and adulthood, with wonder. It seems like the world can never get enough of these magical characters and creatures, and Disney's detail to them is astounding. There's Buzz and Woody, Lightning McQueen, Merida, and the list goes on. Now you get to see them up close and live at the Perot Musem of Nature and Science next year.
When the touring The Science Behind Pixar exhibition debuts in Dallas next year from April 25 to September 7, 2020, visitors will get the chance to visit their favorite characters and learn how they were created. You will get to see the concepts both the artists and computer scientists used to bring these amazing characters to life on your screens. Though ticket prices have not been confirmed, this is a definite event you need to put on your calender right now!
The exhibit's main focus is to give the audience a better understanding of the science, technology, engineering, and math that goes behind the movies, all while having tons of fun.
You will have a chance to check out around 50 interactive elements and explore each step of the film making process. There'll also be videos and audio bits from creators explaining all the hard work that goes into making these characters. With plenty of photo opps, including some with Buzz Lightyear, Dory, and Mike and Sulley, to Edna Mode and WALL•E, this event is any Pixar fan's dream.
While we wait for all of this movie magic to come to town, because it is still quite far away, you can check out The Art Of The Brick at the Perot. The exhibit lets you have tons of Lego fun while learning about engineering and seeing some out of this world sculptures.
