Texas has plenty of awesome safari adventures but probably none are as awesome as this one. River tours are not super heard of on this side of Texas which makes it even more special. The Waco River Safari takes its guests on a scenic tour of the Brazos River. The tour lets guests see amazing views and look at all the great wildlife surrounding the river.
The tour is approximately two hours long and visitors have a chance to see deer, turtles, ducks, and many more Texas animals in their natural habitats along the way. It will never get too hot because the boats come with a canopy and cold drinks, making it perfect for a summer adventure. Different animals show up depending on the trip and time of year, so it is likely you'll have a different experience every time you come aboard.
Rides are BYOB so you can have a drink or two while enjoying the history of the river during the ride. There are water and sodas available on the boat and if you're taking the morning ride, the captain will provide coffee for all his passengers.
Tickets for the river safari rides start at just $40 per person. There are several tours throughout the day and they even offer a sunset dinner tour for their guests. The dinner is often at no additional charge to visitors.
Waco River Safari is located at 1001 MLK BLVD Waco TX 76704. For more information and to book your tour, you can visit their website here.
The tours are only open from March to October 31st, so be sure to visit while you can!
