For Texans, spring means one huge thing and that is the return of Bluebonnet season. Whether you were forced as a kid to dress up every year to go take pictures by the side of the busy Texas highway or not, everyone can appreciate just how special it is to see the blue flowers every year. We Texans love our state flower so much there's a huge annual festival dedicated to Texas Bluebonnets coming up in April!

The Chappell Hill Bluebonnet Festival is coming back on April 18 and 19 and admission is free. The annual festival fills the city's historic downtown with local vendors, food trucks, and places to grab drinks.

There's also going to be live music that's perfect to listen to while grabbing some fresh kettle corn and a cool drink.

The free festival is just a short trip away from a lot of major Texas cities and offers the perfect opportunity to get the perfect Bluebonnet pictures!

Another plus is that the fest is pet-friendly so you can definitely bring your pup and take photos of both of y'all in the blue fields.

While the Fest's main attraction is definitely the Bluebonnets, Chappell Hill's downtown is also worth visiting. The historic downtown is full of porch-covered storefronts that are full of cool treasures.

No activity sounds better on a Spring day than spending hours under a sunny sky surrounded by stunning flowers and delicious food!

Chappell Hill's Bluebonnet Festival isn't the only photo-worthy Bluebonnet activity that's worth checking off of your bucket list, there's also a Bluebonnet trail that's coming back this April that is another great option for celebrating spring.

Texas is home to many different awesome flower fields and while Chappell Hill is definitely one of the top places to go for Bluebonnet photos, there are plenty of other great spots in Texas you can explore.
