This Magical Christmas Train Is Bringing The Festive Spirit To Houston This Month

Taking a Polar Express ride through magical snowy mountains and twinkling lights sounds like the ultimate Christmastime activity. Unfortunately, there's no snow this year and the magic North Pole bound train won't be making a stop in Texas, but another real and beautiful holiday train in Houston will be!
The Christmas Train is one-of-a-kind in Houston, making it the ideal spot for some holiday cheer this month. You can hop onto an actual adorable train for a ride through the stunning Christmas-themed scenery.
Get ready for an old-fashioned train ride through tunnels and trails of over 270 decorated Christmas trees and 300,000 colorful lights.
Train rides have already begun and will continue to take off for the next couple of weeks this month. You can hitch a ride from December 16-23, and we guarantee you do not want to miss out!
On weekdays the Christmas Train departs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays, the train departs from 6:00 to 10 p.m. Trains depart every 7 to 10 minutes.
To make a whole evening out of this fun spot, there will also be food and drinks to dine on while you're there. Pizza, hot cocoa, cookies, popcorn, cotton candy, and more will be up for grabs at this iconic train ride.
Grab a sweet cup of hot chocolate to warm up while you enjoy the hundreds of thousands of lights all around you. Here's to hopefully getting some cold weather this December!
Tickets to get a magical train ride through the Christmas wonderland are only $10 per person when you purchase them online in advance.
At the door, tickets only go up to $12 a person, so it's fine to be spontaneous this holiday season!
The Christmas Train is located in Victory Camp in Alvin, Texas., which lies around 25 miles south of Houston.
