What's your favorite color? Mine is blue, and I can't wait to dive headfirst into a gigantic all-blue ball pit this fall when Color Factory comes to Houston! Are those things even deep enough to dive in headfirst? I guess I'll find out.
The Color Factory has touched down in Houston on the corner of Kirby and Richton, and it's only a matter of time until we can check out what's inside. Will there be unicorns? One can only hope.
Here's what we do know so far: Color Factory started in 2017 in San Francisco as a pop-up interactive art exhibit, and it was so popular that it stuck around for eight months. In 2018, the pop-up reappeared to New York City and has been attracting a lot of buzz. Now, the Color Factory is sending their rainbow south to Houston to paint our town red — and blue, and green, and yellow, and every other color out there. How lucky are we!
Color Factory is exactly that: a factory of color. Looking at the pictures from New York City, this place looks like the inside of a kaleidoscope. The vibrant stripes on the walls and the funky doorways make it look like an Instagrammers dream. I am so ready to grab my friends and have a full photoshoot in every room.
But wait, I haven't even mentioned the best part! Along with all the prismatic pictures you will get from here, you can also get a sweet little snack from their conveyor belt of colorful macaroons. Yes, you read that right. A conveyor belt of macaroons.
This place sure looks sweet, and I am just too excited to see when it will open. Along with Color Factory, we also have a Dr. Suess exhibit coming to Houston soon. How can I sleep when we have so many exciting things coming to our city? Make sure to subscribe to Color Factory's website so you can get the scoop first, and I'll meet you there when it opens!
Why You Need To Go: Ball pits, desserts, instagram photoshoots, oh my!
