A Luminous Forest Of More Than 300 Holiday Trees Will Illuminate Houston This Month
This is why it's called "the most wonderful time of the year".
Getting lost in a forest of hundreds of bright, 20-foot-tall Christmas trees may seem like something out of a movie, or at least a product of the imagination of a huge Christmas fan. But it will be a reality in Houston soon. The annual Uptown Holiday Lighting in Uptown Houston this month will be the ultimate holiday extravaganza.
The event, which has been held for 32 years, will be extra special this year. This November 28, more than 300 20-foot-tall trees will illuminate the steps of every pedestrian who walks on Post Oak Boulevard, from the West Loop to Richmond Avenue. There will also be festive music, holiday characters, and a massive firework show.
The organizers have informed that this year, the celebration will reach new levels of magic. The number of traditional Christmas tree decorations that existed in previous years will quadruple!
You will be enjoying the lights of custom artisan-made holiday trees with incredible integration of tree lighting technology.
There will also be a ceremonial lighting of the brand new main holiday trees, each illuminated with more than 850 sparkly multi-color lights. The lights will be synchronized with holiday music, through the Uptown music app.
Besides the amazing light show, you and your loved ones will enjoy an evening of live festive music, holiday concessions, the traditional Christmas characters we all love, and of course, the arrival of Santa directly from the North Pole.
To end the evening, Santa will conduct the ceremonial lighting of the new holiday trees and of course, there will be a countdown.
Then you will witness the most amazing display of fireworks ever and the most exhilarating part of the show of lights.
You can participate in this traditional Thanksgiving evening event this November 28. It all starts at 4:00 p.m. and until 7:00, so after you can go back home and have your Thanksgiving dinner.
But in the meantime, if you have a craving you can always grab some yummy food from the vendors around. Or you can check out thethat's coming this month!
