One of the greatest things about the state of Texas is how many cultures there are to explore without having to break the bank to go to the countries themselves. One of the coolest things you'll be able to experience is a massive Chinese New Year Festival in Houston this upcoming January.

Lucky Land is celebrating the year of the rat with tons of authentic treats. The event will have live performances with both genuine and modern artists hitting the stage. The event is free to the public, but we do suggest you bring some cash for the goodies you'll be able to find.

Some of the things you'll be able to do at the festival include feeding koi fish, take some rides on the rickshaw, and ceramic painting. There will be shops all around the park, so where you can get authentic products, you might not be able to find anywhere else.

There will be tons of food available in case you need a snack. The entire place is super Instagram worthy, but there will be more photo booths to add to the fun of the event.

With tons of great things to do at this event, you wouldn't want to miss all the fun stuff you'll get to do. Red envelopes will be passed around to encourage good luck all year long. Happy year of the rat!
