Houston has a lot of food festivals this year—a pickle fest, a hot sauce fest, a jerk BBQ fest, you name it. And now, at last, we get a delicious free to attend a Shrimp Festival in Houston on September 7th and 8th.
The event begins at noon on both Saturday and Sunday and concludes at 4:30 pm. There will be loads of fresh shrimp and live entertainment at Trader's Village.
Trader's Village is always popping with festivals like Chilli and BBQ cookoffs, cajun festivals, Halloween bashes, and more. So basically, they know how to throw a tasty party.
Their market is open regularly from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sundays.
As you enjoy the shrimp during the festival you can hop around and visit all their market has to offer. They have jewelry, clothing, art, toys, fruits and veggies, $1 stores, and more. The flea market expands over more than 105 acres and houses 2,000 dealers every weekend.
They also have 11 rides you can take a whirl on all day for just $9.99 or $2.29 per ride. From the carousel to the Flea Fall, they have all the carnival screaming fun.
All the yummy shrimp will be found under the Gray Expo in all it's different forms—fried, grilled, whatever you like!
The event is also hosted by Dirty Fingers Cajun House and they're ready to bring on some really good, authentic seafood.
