Zombies to the left, zombies to the right, kind of a spooky thought right? If the walking dead are your particular brand of nightmare fuel then you're in luck. Houston's Annual Zombie Walk is coming back for a bite of the Halloween action this October and tickets are only $5 right now!
The event is part of the 9th annual Houston Halloween Fest which takes place on Saturday, October 19th from 5 to 10 p.m.. Not so surprisingly, people who love Halloween also love to booze and schmooze so get ready to put on your party pants if you so choose.
The event has moved this year to Hughes Hangar, but don't worry because it's still in the middle of Houston. The space is larger and has much more room for shenanigans to take place.
This walk is taken very seriously by the participants so don't prepare to be scared when the zombies start following you around making creepy noises behind your ear. But have no fear (there are limits to the participation), it's all in good fun.
To add to a good night out, several food vendors will be on site, as well as live music, a costume contest and of course the main attraction that is a beer garden. While this is a family-geared event, the Zombie Walk becomes an adults-only zone at 8 p.m. If you have kids in tow, there's a designated area for the little gremlins to hang out and watch a magician, while getting their faces painted.
Though tickets are $5, after Sept. 1 the price will increase. The event isn't expensive at all coming in at only $10 for admisssion into this spooky wonderland.
Houston Zombie Walk's mission is to donate all of the proceeds to a local educational charity fund, so it turns out the undead actually do have a heart. It's such a fun event, but beware there might be a spooky ghoul lurking around every corner.
