This Houston Beach Will Be A Winter Wonderland With Real Snow & Boat Parade Next Month
It's gonna be white (sand) Christmas.
While we're not expecting blankets of snow in Houston anytime soon, we can always count on Kemah to ring in the holidays at the bay—Texas-style. Starting Dec. 7, the Kemah boardwalk is transforming into a winter wonderland as they kick off their Kemah "Jingle On The Boardwalk" events.
On Saturday, Dec. 7 and 21, Kemah will be having full holiday-spirit activities like Santa's workshop, holiday tunes, a snow patch, balloon artist, and a holiday stiltwalker.
On Dec. 14, they'll be having all that again plus you'll get to experience the Santa's Workshop that will make you want to caption your IG photo "This place reminds me of Santa's Workshop! Except it smells like the ocean and everyone looks like they have roller coaster sickness."
Also on Dec. 14 is the annual Christmas Boat Lane Parade at 6:30 p.m. This year is the 58th annual parade with more than 60 brightly decorated power and sailboats.
On Sundays, up until Dec. 22, there will be holiday tunes and similar activities.
Santa will be stopping by for photos and to pretend to care about what overpriced gifts you want on Friday through Sunday. No age limit is listed, but let's have some common sense, people.
The events are totally free, but be sure to bring a toy for their big toy drive. Tis' the season of giving!
Obviously, there will be hot cocoa, gift shopping (because you gotta blow the cash somehow), and live entertainment.
So grab your coat that you're gonna end up tying around your waist, and get in that holiday spirit, boardwalk style.
Jingle On The Boardwalk

Why you need to go: Because it's colder at the beach, and there will be holiday stiltwalkers and a boat parade. What more do you need?
