Whether you're looking for the perfect place to live out your Barbie fantasy or just admire some Houston art, a new interactive art exhibit presented by District One Inc. called Playhaus HTX is officially open in Eado and it's a total pop-art dream.
Playhaus features 11 installations and several murals by local artists, and it's totally photoshoot friendly. Get some perfect snaps for your Instagram on your iPhone or go all the way and get a photographer to line up the perfect shot for you. As long as photographers purchase their ticket as well, you're allowed to take as many professional photos as you want! Take that every other museum ever! There are even restrooms available for outfit changes.
General admission tickets run for $32 a person most days, $25 on Museum Monday, and $25 for children. Unless the child is under 2 years old, then it's free because they won't remember it anyway and you have to purchase a ticket if you want to keep the memory.
And trust me, you do. This spot has no shortage of Houston-inspired murals and immersive exhibits like hanging bulbs, a giant red piano, a ball pit with giant floaties, a sea of feathered pillows, and much more. Oh, and obviously some Space City fun to celebrate the best month to be in Houston for this year.
Playhaus is open every day except for Tuesday from morning until 8-10 pm.
And don't forget to wear your best kicks to show off in a pic at this spot in the gallery.
At Playhaus, street art is celebrated, photographs are finally welcomed, and Houstonians are filled with pride and inspiration. You can purchase your tickets for a specific date and time in advance to make sure you can get in on their event page.
Their summer series is only open for a limited time, so grab your friends and hurry out!
