Texas is always under pressure to live up to the whole "everything being bigger" stereotype. The Houston area refuses to ever disappoint, even in a season filled with holiday light display events. This November, the crazy Sugar Land Holiday Lights is back for another year of carnival fun, holiday displays, and light mazes in the Houston area.

Beginning on Friday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m., Sugar Land Holiday Lights will be officially open for Christmas-y displays, winter activities, and tons of carnival fun. The festivities will continue daily through Jan. 5.

This massive lights extravaganza is put on every year and has become a local favorite. There are more than 3 million lights in the display including 8 themed zones, a maze, shopping, a giant inflatable snow globe, a 40-foot animated holiday tree, food trucks, and of course, carnival rides and activities.

Don't forget to stop by the huge Texas flag lights display to snap a pic and prove you were there. The fest will also feature a Constellation Field light maze that's got total Stranger Things vibes—so watch out!

Their opening night will feature a performance from their 40-foot animated tree that you absolutely won't want to miss.

Sugar Land Holiday Lights has partnered with Imperial Sugar to make this event possible in Sugar Land—so, it's sure to be pretty sweet.

Santa will even be there for your kiddos to meet or for your drunk friends to yell "you sit on a throne of lies!" in their best Elf voice to.

Tickets are $15 for adults on Sunday through Thursday, and $16 for adults on Friday and Saturday. They will go on sale online Monday, Oct. 21. Psst, if you order online you get a $2 discount.

Check out their website for varying open times throughout the week.

If you need another reason to head to Houston this upcoming winter season, there will also be a holiday light festival popping up that will transport you to Europe. Or for some free festive fun, you can check out these gorgeous holiday lights around the city.
