Spooky season is right around the corner, and that means the 9th Annual Halloween Fest is coming back to Houston on October 19th!
From 5 pm to 10 pm, there will be live music, food trucks, art vendors, face painting, and beer tents to keep all creepy creatures entertained. There are also promises of a HZW special FX blood splatter zone that sounds kind of intense.
Tickets are just $5 for the first 500 people to sign up, so think less zombie and more super fast skeleton maybe? After the first 500, admission goes up to $10.
For a little idea of what kind of live music and entertainment there will be, the line-up includes Rozy, Mexicana and the Monster Squad, magician Robby Bennett, magician Lanny Kibbey, and magic juggler Bruce Manners.
All kiddos under 11 get in for free because if you were able to get them here at all, you sort of earned a free ticket. They'll get a free show too with magic, juggling acts, moonwalks, face painting, costume contest, and arts and crafts.
Hosted by the Houston Zombie Walk, this event is actually a fundraiser that donates all ticket sales to their Too Ghoul For School Education fund and is used for scholarships in 2020. This nonprofit benefits students, teachers, and other charities across Houston. Who knew dressing up like a clown for one day without getting attacked was a win-win?
So pull out your fake blood and spooky costumes. It's time to party with both ghosts and ghostbusters and maybe even some cute and totally unscary puppies.
Can we all just agree right now to avoid dressing up like clowns? There's still a line, you know.
