Summer is approaching quickly and we are all on the hunt for the coolest things to do in our state with all of this hot, sunny weather. The Marriott Marquis Houston has the world's largest Texas-shaped lazy river that is open to visitors throughout the summer. You might want to put this on your summer to-do list!

The amazing rooftop lazy river was originally opened to non-hotel guests in 2017 and has opened every summer for tourists and locals alike. They offer reserved seating in cabanas and day beds along with general day passes to the pool and spa passes that give you access to the pool's amenities plus the steam room and relaxation lounge. Of course, if you choose to stay at the hotel overnight you get immediate access to the pool for no extra cost.

With a day pass to the giant Texas-shaped lazy river, you get access to the incredible heated infinity pool, Texas lazy river, hot tub, towel service, fitness center and food/drink service from their poolside restaurant. You need to check this place out for the perfect day of relaxing and enjoying the weather next to a beautiful collection of pools overlooking the city.

The poolside restaurant is open during the day and features a full delicious menu of summer eats and heavenly drinks like their signature cocktails and pineapple pina coladas topped with fruit and a wine-infused popsicle! Stop by for a day of chilling in the pool and sipping on margaritas.

The Day Pass starts at $50 for a full day of pool activities and amenities and the Spa Pass gets you even more access to the hotel's relaxing amenities starting at $75 a person. Their day beds, cabanas, pergolas, and gazebos go for different rates that you can reserve on their website here. You must be 21+ to buy tickets and enjoy the rooftop pool and lazy river.

The pool is open daily from 6 am to 11 pm so you can enjoy all morning, day and evening at the relaxing rooftop river.

The Marriott Marquis Houston is located at 1777 Walker St, Houston, TX 77010. You can visit their website for more information here!
