Listen up witches: October is right around the corner, and you need to have our plans locked down. Have you picked out which haunted house you're going to scream your way through? Did you plan your outfit for your pumpkin patch photoshoot? Have you penciled in Hocus Pocus Pops concert in The Woodlands on your calendar for October 18th? What are you waiting for?
Kick off Halloween right this year by checking out the Houston Symphony playing all the spooky tunes at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Hocus Pocus Pops will take you back to the Salem you once knew when you watched the cult-favorite Disney movie, and bring up those Halloween-y memories of your childhood. And guess what? It's absolutely free!
This concert will feature music from all your favorite Halloween classics. In years past, they've performed songs from Beetlejuice, The Addams Family, and Ghostbusters. We can't guarantee it, but the name of the event totally signals that some Hocus Pocus tunes will play too.
It is highly encouraged that you come in costume, seeing as this is a family-friendly event and families will be dress up. Grab your Halloween-obsessed besties, and come up with a themed look. Witches, perhaps? Even the Houston Symphony will be playing their instruments in costumes. But if costumes aren't your thing, you should still check out this fun event!
There's tons of treats and tricks to see before the show, so gather all your ghoul-friends and try to get there a little earlier. Don't forget to pack a small picnic to enjoy on the lawn as you take in the magical evening. What a unique experience, even perfect for a date night!
Gates open at 6:00 PM and the show starts at 7:30 PM. Lawn and mezzanine seats are completely free, or you can pay $20 to get an up close seat. And for those of you who want to make the most out of your fall season, make sure you check out this list of fall activities around Texas.
