Some of the best childhood stories growing up included magical forests and enchanted woods. From Narnia to Pooh's forest, there's just always been something mystical about being lost among endless acres of trees. Sadly, magical lands have always just been a fairytale, and not real places we could actually visit. However, there's an enchanting wooded park near Houston that looks like it came straight out of your childhood fairytales!

Kleb Woods Nature Preserve is a majestic tree-covered park in Tomball. The wooded preserve is over 130 acres in size and is a magical place full of many things to explore.

Most of the park is covered in forest but there are also wetlands with pools, marshes, and ponds that look downright gorgeous.

The preserve has over three miles of hiking trails, but most of the hikes are relatively leisurely with wooden pathways to guide you. They are also heavily shaded by all of the massive trees surrounding them.

Hidden among the towering trees are different kinds of colorful flowers and wildlife. Little woodland creatures like rabbits call the preserve home and different types of birds from hummingbirds to owls have been spotted here.

Also tucked away in the woodlands is an old white cottage with bright blue shutters and pretty gardens surrounding it. There's even a windmill you can find along the trails.

You can visit the nature preserve and explore seven days a week from 7 a.m. until dusk.

With wooden pathways in the middle of ethereal trees, to pretty cottages surrounded by little gardens, this magical nature preserve looks like it was taken from the pages of a fairytale story.

The magical spot is so close to Houston, making it a fantastic place to stroll with your loved ones. The preserve is ready for you to explore it!

Be mindful of the stunning nature and pick up after yourselves if you do plan on visiting.
