This Retro Houston Arcade With Go-Karts Looks Straight Out Of Stranger Things
Is this Starcourt mall or no?
You're probably no stranger to Stranger Things; it's an extremely popular show with one of the coolest aesthetics around. The '80s are alive and well on-set of the creepy sci-fi show, and let's be honest, we've all wanted to step back in time and go to the Starcourt Mall to pick up a treat from Scoops Ahoy. While we might not be able to go visit Steve and Robin, there's a retro arcade in Houston that looks straight off the set of Stranger Things!
Speedy's Fast Track Amusements in Houston is a long-standing favorite that looks like it's straight from Netflix's super popular show.
The inside of the bright yellow and red building is chock full of different arcade games that you could easily spend the whole time playing. But there's also so much more to do while you're there, besides playing the fun retro games.
There's also an outdoor go-kart track, laser tag, and a mini-golf course. Unlike other newer places, this arcade has a genuine hole-in-the-wall vibe and makes for a fun friends' night out!
Speedy's is open late from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays and from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
So that means you can channel Eleven and Mike by going out on a late-night arcade date!
For go-karting, packages start at $30, laser tag is $9, mini-golf is $7, and arcade cards start at $5.
Houston is home to, and even ! But Speedy's is a classic spot so retro it wouldn't seem unlikely to catch Dustin, Lucas, and Will there.
