There's 104 days of summer vacation, and then fall comes along and all of our favorite waterparks shut down for the season. It's the annual problem of our city to find a new way to stay cool in the unnaturally-warm fall season. But this weekend only, Typhoon Texas Houston is reopening their park for one last summer splash—glow-in-the-dark style.
From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on September 28, hot girl summer will reign on and you'll be able to indulge in nighttime slides, food, live music, and everything glow-in-the-dark! Have I mentioned it's glow-in-the-dark? Go ahead and grab your tickets online (or at the window if you're a procrastinator) for only $24.95.
Then, if you're still not ready to let summer go, they're having their Barks N' Waves event the next afternoon from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., where you can bring your pup along! They'll be able to splash in water (so cute), and participate in a costume contest, best trick contest, best jump contest, and retrieving contest. So much competition. So much cuteness.
Tickets for Barks N' Waves are $15 for adults and $5 for pups. Don't forget to register your dog online.
Some popular attractions you need to check out while you're there include the Tidal Wave Bay, Monster Storms, and the Duelin' Daltons featuring a 7-story free fall drop down an open-air slide. Pro tip on those—prepare for a major wedgie. Thank me later.
Alright, Ferb, I know what we're going to do this weekend! This is about to be the greatest end-of-summer night in the entire tri-state area! Then, if you're still feeling sad that summer is over, learn to accept change. These fall events might just do this trick, or maybe even a vegan state fair with a pumpkin patch.
