Space Center Houston Is Letting You Camp Near Spacecrafts This August
Whether you'd like to sleep in or outdoors is totally up to you!
Camping in the outdoors has always been an activity that is reserved for good weather and a great location. This summer, Space Center Houston is giving their visitors the chance to camp at arguably the coolest location ever. You can sleep under the stars or next to incredible and rare spacecraft artifacts with a visit to Space Center Houston.
This rare opportunity is available only on June 21st, August 31st, and October 26th for everyone ages 5+ with activities for all ages. The fun begins at 4:30 pm, where you'll meet in the official Mission Briefing Center to see what the night will hold. After your briefing, you'll be able to indulge in the wildest robotics in the Robotic Challenge Arena, train like an astronaut and learn about spacewalks, tour the Starship Gallery, and more.
Whether you'd like to sleep in or outdoors is totally up to you! If you choose to sleep outdoors you'll be underneath the stars in Independence Plaza, which is where the historic Boeing 747 and NASA 905 live. If the outdoors isn't for you, that's fine. Sleeping indoors will allow you to be in the comfort of some of the rarest spaceflight artifacts on Earth.
Tickets for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity are $69.95 and will include a buffet dinner as well as a buffet breakfast the following morning. Even when you think your trip to Space Center Houston is over, it's not. Your ticket includes a second-day visit to Space Center Houston incase you weren't able to do everything you wanted the night before. There's also the option to purchase a t-shirt or program patch to remember your trip forever.
