Spending the holidays in Texas can be depressing at times, especially since we almost never get snow in the Lone Star State. This year, instead of sulking over the weather, Texans can rejoice over the fact that Christmas-themed events are happening all around them. One of these events is transforming Boerne, a city near San Antonio, into a real-life Christmas town.

From Friday, November 29 until Saturday, November 30, Boerne's Hill Country Mile Main Street will be almost unrecognizable. Dickens on Main is an annual Christmas event that is celebrating its 20th year in Boerne with more holiday cheer than any year before. The decor, shopping, 60-foot ice slide, and more means a real-life Christmas town is coming near you and it's just a month away, Texans.

The shops will be opening at 10 a.m. for Dickens on Main, and the activities begin at 4 p.m. both Friday and Saturday. You'll be able to save on adorable gifts for your friends and family, since it will be Black Friday, after all.

Once the activities begin, live music will fill your ears, snow will fill the streets and delicious food will be filling your bellies. This is going to be the event of the year, and we know exactly what we'll be saying we're thankful for at the Thanksgiving dinner table!

Admission into the event is completely free, so you won't have to worry about buying tickets beforehand. Some streets will be closed down and might make driving through Boerne difficult, so we recommend checking their website out for more information.

If you're unable to make a trip to San Antonio either day but don't want to miss out on holiday festivities, have no fear, for Texas is filled with things like this! Pop-up bars, parades and more are happening across the state to make catching FOMO nearly impossible. Get to planning, 'cause squeezing as many as you can in is a must.
