Utah Is Having A Massive German Christmas Market This Winter
Heidelberg hot chocolate, please?
TBH, we've had our trees up since the beginning of November. If you love everything about the holiday season, you'll want to go to this massive German Christmas market in Utah. It's one of the best ways to get into the festive spirit.
The Christkindlmarkt in Salt Lake City, Utah, is inspired by the authentic German markets celebrating the holidays. You'll be able to enjoy the twinkling lights, authentic food and treats, and handcrafted goodies.
It's free to visit and this year it will be held on December 4 through December 7 from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
There will be over 90 vendors selling their own goodies at wooden booths and the booths will even be decorated with wreaths and garland.
The snow-capped mountains in the distance will make you feel like you're in a holiday wonderland. Since many people are going here to enjoy the festivities, pets aren't allowed.
While you're strolling and enjoying the beautiful sights, you can sip on yummy seasonal drinks like hot cocoa, apple cider, and even Heidelberg hot chocolate.
We're definitely excited about all the yummy foods. You can expect an assortment of goodies from brats, German street food, crepes, Dutch poffertjes (like mini pancakes), and more.
The festivities get even better. On top of yummy food, there will be live entertainment, petting zoos, and parades held throughout the market.
If you're not going to be in Utah during this time and still want to go to a, you can opt for one in Arizona. You can shop around and enjoy some hot mulled wine. Or devour all the yummy treats we come across.
When: December 4 - 7 from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Address: 2601 Sunnyside Ave S, Salt Lake City, Utah
Why You Need To Go: Enjoy some authentic food + sweet treats + live entertainment and the picturesque snow-capped mountains in the background.
