Seaside doesn't immediately come to mind when Emerald City's weather is frosty and grey. But hear us out. What if there were food trucks lined up pretty, an insane beer garden, and beach bums who know how to party? There's a festival in Seattle where there's all that and more!

The outdoorsy city doesn't wait around for spring and summer. And it shows. The Alki Winter Beer & Food Truck Festival is a winter tradition, and it's coming to the city's shore on February 22, 2020.

Tickets are on sale right now and range from $10 for entry and a 16-ounce cup of beer to $25 for eight tasting tokens and entry. If you can't purchase one online, they'll cost you $10 more at the door.

If you're worried about baring the cold, fear not. There are going to be massive heated tents on the sandy beaches for you to get cozy in.

While you boogie to the live music, you can also cheer for over 500 brave hearts in funky costumes as they take a polar plunge in the icy waters to raise money for Special Olympics Washington. If you'd like to too, you can sign up here.

Either way, all proceeds from the tickets go towards it, and you'll be raising a glass for a great cause.

You can snack on food trucks dishing out everything from piroshki and hot dogs to burgers, momos, fried chicken, grilled cheeses, Filipino and Thai street food!

This year's lineup includes Bread and Circuses, Egg Roll Hut, Ezell's Express, Kathmandu MoMoCha, Kiss My Grits, Off The Rez, Pecos Pit, Piroshky Piroshky, Thai-U-Up, The Cheese Pit, The Vet Chef, and T'juana Tacos.

So we know that no two food trucks are going to be alike and there'll be something to tantalize everyone's tastebuds.

There'll also be several breweries who'll open up taps with ciders and ales to wash it all down too.

Elysian Brewing, Georgetown Brewing Company, Redhook Brewlab, and Elliot Bay Brewery all made an appearance last year.

While you're in the area, consider checking out all the awesome things you can do in Seattle for free. It'll get you out of hibernation and set you up for spring!
