You Can Have An Indoor "Snowball" Fight At This Washington Spot Through New Year's
The Abominable snowman will be there too!
Winter is a magical time in the Emerald City. From holiday markets and spiked cups of hot cocoa to spectacularly lit up streets and ice rinks, there's plenty to do during this frosty time. While it doesn't always snow in Seattle, you don't have to miss out on an important tradition — you can have a "snowball" fight right here in the city!
The Pacific Science Center in Seattle has an indoor Snowzone where you can have a jolly brawl in the "snow."
Featuring falling snow and twinkling lights, you can challenge your pals to an epic combat every day until January 5, 2020.
The best part is that you don't even have to freeze your hands off to do this. These snowballs are made with stuffed cotton! And you'll find boxes of them at the spot.
You can also build forts from them, which you can chuck these warm-fuzzies.
The snowpit is included in the admission ticket to the science center and costs $25.95 per adult.
The snowball fights are held in the Ackerley Gallery area three times a day — at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. on weekdays, and five times a day on weekends as part PacSci's Holidays of Play activities.
You might also spot the Abominable snowman (whose head resembles a snowball too) amongst your friends while you attack them with soft "snowballs."
So make sure you're dressed in your best ugly Christmas sweater and have your camera ready to snap a pic of the perfect winter memory.
There's also a pretty, immersive installation by Lusio Lights where you can see (and touch) ice created from lights and soft textiles.
Once you've declared a winner of the fight, you can head to the hot cocoa bar inside to brag about it.
Whether you're a Washington native or just passing through, this is a great spot to enjoy the season while staying warm and cozy.
There's everything from ato the and a space lit with over a , to get you feeling like it's December 25 already.
If you're up for a drive, you should hit some of the most lit. After all, it's time to officially get into a very, merry spirit.
