Whether it's lounging by the lake or frolicking in beach cabins, we all have warm weather traditions that we are looking forward to. If you're planning out your summer things to do in Washington state, we know of a lazy adventure that has to be on your list. There's a gorgeous river where you can float for hours, for free.

The picturesque Snoqualmie River spans a whole 45 miles. But you can start your lazy feat from the Plum Boat Launch, a half-mile from Snoqualmie Falls and meander your way for about four miles to the bridge near Fall City Park.

A $10 Discover Pass is required for parking.

Unlike water parks where you have to pay a pretty penny, Mother Nature doesn't charge a dime.

You can bring your own floaters, round up your friends, pack those coolers, and set out to soak up the Pacific Northwest's charming scenery.

We know you have those flamingos, pizza floats, and unicorns stashed away someplace. But if you don't own an inner tube, no worries. You can rent one out between $25 to $35 per adult from Fall City Floating nearby.

The rental company also pumps it for you for only $3 and you can even hitch a ride with them on their shuttle for $10 per person.

That way you don't have to worry about driving back to your put-in locations.

They make a trip every three to five minutes to the launch point and reservations are recommended, especially on weekends.

The best part? They even have cooler tubes you can rent out for $15. These can be connected to your own float and you can take your refreshments with you everywhere you go!

The Seattle-King County Public Health’s water safety page warns, "Do not use alcohol or drugs when recreating on the river." But there are still several rope swings lining the flower-dotted banks to add excitement on your trip.

They also recommend wearing personal floatation devices and never to float alone.

You'll find a hoot of a party on the water during weekends.

So if you're looking for a calming vibe, we suggest taking this adventure on a weekday and picking a week between July and September if you're not used to icy cold waters.

We don't know about you but all this talk has got us dreaming about summer right now.
