In the Evergreen State, taking your kayaks out for some cardio and sights is pretty common. But imagine taking that thrill up a notch. This scenic river rafting in Washington is an experience you have to do to believe. We've found a spot where you can explore an actual "lava tube" river!

The experience by Portland Rafting Company will take you down the White Salmon River. These are 44 miles of stunning glacial meltwaters that flow through a collapsed lava tube from Mt. Adams.

Although this volcano is still potentially active, you don't need to worry as it hasn't erupted in over 1,000 years.

The 4-hour adventure starts at Northwestern Park in Underwood. It costs $85 per person and includes granola bars, and equipment like wet suits, personal floatation devices, and helmets.

Anyone above 10 years of age is allowed at this spot. Once you suit up, you can expect to raft through class III rapids that involve rowing through irregular waves and narrow channels during summers.

If you're an adrenaline junkie, there's even more to love.

You can also choose to cliff or bridge-jump into the waters and even for class IV rapids at the Husum Waterfall, which is considered "wild" with unpredictable and large ripples during springtime.

The company's certified rafters will instruct you before you dive in.

Although this come-rain-or-shine activity operates between May and September every year, it's so popular that some months are already booked out. So we suggest you snag a spot here ASAP.

But wait. Did you even do this if there are no photos to prove it?

That's why there are pro shutterbugs who know all the best spots to catch the excitement when you're in the water! And you can buy them after for $30 a picture, or the whole package for $65.

While you jump into actual glacial waters, marvel at the gorgeous canyon through which it flows, you can't help but notice that is certainly one for the books.
