This Company Is Actually Looking To Pay Someone $10,000 To Party In Cancun

If you find yourself stuck at your 9 to 5 wishing you were anywhere but there, well here's a proposition for you. There's a job out there that'll pay you $10,000 a month to hang out in bougee luxury hotels, escape the Canadian cold while you tan on the shores of Cancun, take a selfies at the Mayan ruins and party at some of the best local clubs. It almost sounds too good to be true, amiright?
Well it is true, and no there isn't a catch. The website cancun.com— a tourism page that works to promote the city is looking for a Cancun Experience Officer (CEO). The job would entail the selected candidate or teams (yes teams can apply) to create and post engaging social media content about their local adventures in and around Cancun.
Anyone can apply, however selected candidates are expected to have the skills necessary to create amazing online content, be open to working with local charities and have the stamina necessary to endure the demands of an extensive travel schedule. For those without a huge social media following don't worry, it isn't a requirement to be considered; you just need to me social media savvy.
As mentioned, the job pays $10,000 per month, and last for 6 months. Cancun.com promises to cover all the hotel costs and excursion fees. The company will also gift you video/ photo equipment to use while you're travelling.
To apply, candidate just need to submit a 60-second video outlining why they would be the perfect Cancun Experience Officer. The deadline is December 17th and all candidates must be over 18 years old, have a valid passport, and be able to live in Cancun for the entire six-month that the contract lasts.
The 5 top candidates selected will get flown out to Cancun for an “Interview Event,” which includes formal interviews, team building exercises and physical assessments (whatever that means?). Cancun.com will announce the appointment of the CEO at a live event on January 31, 2018.
