You Can Chug Beer & Adopt Dogs At This Chill Tap Room Near Washington

Eat, drink & adopt at the 'world's first' dog taproom! 🐶🍻
This Dog Friendly Bar Near Seattle Lets You Drink Beer And Adopt Pooches

If you call the Pacific Northwest home, chances are you've taken your pooch to a brewery at least once. While there's nothing new about that, this dog-friendly bar near Seattle is the world's first taproom where you can actually adopt dogs and take them home!

Celebrating crafty beer concoctions and man's best friend, Fido's is located in Tigard, Oregon — only a three-hour drive from Emerald City.

This spot has over 40 rotating taps of craft beer, ciders, and wines. But here's the best part. It doubles as a rescue shelter too, so you can be sure to bump into some furballs while you're there.

The Room partners with Oregon Friends Of Shelter Animals (OFOSA) and has four to eight dogs that you can cuddle with at the bar's onsite "day room".

It costs $4 (less than a beer here) to play with the pups for 30 minutes or $7 for an hour's session. The funds go towards the upkeep of these cute canines.

If you fall helplessly in love with one (or two) of them, you can apply to adopt them too!

You'll have to go through screening and the shelter charges $300, but can you really put a price tag on the unlimited love you'll get?

So far, over 70 doggos have been adopted from this spot. You can check for more details on the process here.

For a picture of just how serious we are about this, their flight of samplers comes on massive wooden planks shaped like a bone.

While you're there, aside from the ginormous list of ales, you can also enjoy savory flatbreads, rice bowls with kimchi or BBQ pulled pork, hot dogs, and pretzels that are priced between $3 and $10.

You can even bring your own furry friend and sit in the outdoor patio during the summers.

Wintertime is just as fun. You and your friends can challenge each other to a game of indoor corn hole, catch the game on TV or snap pics at the photo booth inside.

Either way, this is the perfect spot to chill with some frosty brews and have a chance to become a paw-parent.

If you're pretty inseparable from your pooch, here's another idea: Why not make the most of the cold weather in the Evergreen State and take them on a snow hike?

It's going to be a pawsitively chill time!
