The Enchanted Forest is a unique attraction near Revelstoke, B.C. that features real-life characters and locations from classic fairytales. Created by Doris and Ernest Needham as a retirement project in the 1950s, the forest is “a magical place where visitors can see, touch and step into the homes of fairytale heroes, villains and creatures that hold so many memories for all of us.” The Needhams entertained over one million people up until 1970, and eventually sold the forest.

There forest is also home to the largest treehouse in B.C., which rises 50 feet into the forest canopy, as well as a variety of mythical buildings including a stump house, a giant mushroom, a candy cane hut, a castle and even a dungeon (complete with its own dragon).
