This Hot Spring In Oregon Lets You Soak Sky-High Above The Forest

Nestled deep within the woods, you'll find one of the best-hidden gems. These blue hot spring in Oregon let you soak in a natural infinity pool over a forested cliff. You'll have views for days.

You'll be 2,640 feet up!

If you're planning out your summer bucket list, why not start here?

To get to Umpqua Hot Springs, you'll need to take a 0.3-mile trail through the forest and pay a $5 entrance fee at the trailhead.

While the path is steep, it's only a five to ten-minute walk to the top with an elevation gain of 206 feet.

All along the way, you'll get to take in all the sounds of nature and the creeks gurgling in the distance.

Since this is a popular spot, early risers have the best chance of getting the pools all to themself. While you can bring a suit if you'd like, this is a clothing-optional spot.

After spending a few minutes on the trail, you'll spot a picturesque wooden shelter that keeps the pool protected from the elements.

The pools are approximately three feet deep and 108 degrees, perfecting for a soothing relaxation session.

There are also six smaller (and shallower) pools to choose from that are carved out of the hillside.

If you want a front-row seat of nature, this could be the best spot. Plus, the water from the upper pools trickles down, creating a miniature waterfall.

From your bird's eye view, you'll be able to see the incredible North Umpqua River flowing below as well as Surprise Falls.

After you're done, you can cool down with a refreshing dip in the river by climbing down the orange hill spot or taking other (safe) entry points along your return.

If you're looking for a private place to spend your time and connect with nature, there's really nothing better than having a private pool above the lush Oregon greenery.
