You would have to live under a rock to not know that musician Drake was originally from Toronto, Ontario. Born Aubrey Graham, the rapper and singer has always linked himself to his home city, even declaring himself the "Six God" after Toronto's 416 area code.
Still, that doesn't mean it's been easy for the Toronto musician. In fact, a number of scandals have left a sour taste in the mouths of many Torontonians who used to take pride in Drake's local status.
Once upon a time, Drake used to show up for Toronto, including his surprise appearance to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday in 2017. Now, it seems the singer couldn't be bothered to make the extra effort for his Canadian fans.
Despite his busy schedule, Drake can cheer for the Raptors and tout that he loves the six but Torontonians aren't feeling the love these days.
Here's a timeline of the downfall of Drake, who used to be all Toronto cared about.
Drake’s cheated us Torontonians ever since he flopped with no word on OVO Fest. 6god don’t even care about the 6...

Fellow Canadian singer Shawn Mendes got roughed up by Drake's bodyguards while attending a concert in Toronto, Ontario. Both celebrities were busy seeing The Weeknd at the Scotiabank Arena (previously ACC) when Shawn was grabbed by Drake's security for tapping him on the shoulder. Luckily once Drake realized it was Mendes, he quickly made his team let him go. Still, the altercation seemed pretty wild considering how big of a star Mendes is and the fact he had met Drake on separate occasions.
November 2017: Drake Start's Dating The Weeknd's Ex-GF Bella Hadid
Seems like Drake forgot about the "bro code" of not dating your friends' ex-girlfriends. The Weeknd and Drake both started feuding after the self-proclaimed "six God" started pursuing his friend's longtime girlfriend Bella Hadid. Considering the musicians both work with OVO and have the same crew, it looked really tacky for Drake to go after someone else's girl.
March 2018: Drake Won't Eat Animals But Works With Canada Goose
Drake revealed in a live stream that he would no longer be eating animals but people were still upset with the musician because of his OVO label working alongside Canada Goose. August 2018: When Drake Really Proved He Didn't Care About Toronto Fans
August of this year was a rough month for Drake in Toronto and that's because he backed out of numerous commitments in the city. Not only did his tour with Migo's for "Scorpion" get delayed originally (including all 3 Toronto dates), the musician flat out cancelled two out of three shows in Toronto due to "unforeseen circumstances." Believe it or not, Drake, if you know you're touring you probably could have planned in advance.
September 2018: Torontonians Are 100% Over Drake
After disappointing Toronto fans by cancelling his "Aubrey and Three Migo's" tour dates in the city, he proceeded to back out of another commitment at one of the biggest events of the year. Drake was supposed to introduce the film "Monsters and Men" at the Toronto International Film Festival this year but again had to drop out the day of the screening due to "unforeseen circumstances" and scheduling issues. Not only that, but he was also ranked embarrassingly low on StubHub's Best-Selling Acts In Canada for this year. Torontonians have gotten so sick of him that they have officially dubbed Ryan Gosling the best Canadian celebrity in Hollywood, so it may be time to get rid of Drake's "Six God" title.
