This New Movie On Netflix Plays On Your Worst Fears And It’s Actually So Messed Up

Netflix is known for putting out original movies and TV shows that just blow your mind. From Black Mirror to Stranger Things, the way the writers and creators minds work is beyond me. But we're all grateful, because now we have crazy shows to binge-watch that make us sit there in awe. Well, while this new Netflix movie was actually a book first, it doesn't take away from the fact that it's original, scary, and super messed up. 

Bird Box is the new Netflix movie I'm talking about that you'll want to close your eyes at, but also peak through so you don't miss a thing. If you love confusing, post-apocalyptic type of movies (think American Horror Story meets A Quiet Place), then you'll absolutely love this thriller. 

Bird Box, which stars Sandra Bullock and Sarah Paulson, will have you at the edge of your seat. Bird Box is about a mysterious power that can automatically kill you if you see it. While most of the society was driven to suicide over not wanting to see this deadly force, there were a few survivors and Sandra Bullock's character is one of them. The whole premise of the movie is her trying to get her kids and family to safety. 

Oh, but it doesn't stop there. The survivors now must live in a world where a creature messes with their worst possible fears. Much like A Quiet Place, a lot of the movie is the family running through the forest trying not to bother or see this random creature. They're also blindfolded the whole way.

If you've seen Ocean's 8, then you know what a dynamic duo Sandra Bullock and Sarah Paulson are together. But just a warning, if you have a LOT of fears, you may not want to watch this movie. The premise of Bird Box is to get rid of people through their fears, so it's not exactly a light and colourful movie. 

Bird Boxwill be available on Netflix on December 21st. Grab an eye mask, grab some popcorn, and try to make it through this thriller. While it only got 55% on Rotten Tomatoes, it looks like a movie that people will be talking about for a long time. You can watch the trailer below.
