This New Netflix Original Seems Like A Cooler Version Of Degrassi

Netflix has done it again. A new show to binge watch, and that show would be the up and coming dramedy, Sex Education . Netflix is definitely trying to teach kids and teens something productive while they binge watch a show, and while the birds and the bees isn't the easiest topic to talk about, this may be the most educational show on Netflix right now. I mean, besides documentaries on health, but who watches those?

While there have been a lot of controversial shows on Netflix, this one may actually teach teens to talk about their feelings. The show, which is centered around Otis who is an inexperienced teenager, shows how teens go through things nobody knows. Otis' mom is a sex therapist, so he decides to open a Sex Therapy clinic up at his high school so people can come and express their feelings about everything sex related. Sounds intense!

You may be thinking, why would I want to watch a show about sex? Well, from the looks of the trailer, it's so much more than that. The trailer for Sex Education honestly reminds me a lot of Degrassi . These kids are going through it, every one of them has their own story, and they're all somehow friends. Maybe it won't be as intense as Degrassi, though.

Of course, with a dramedy, you can expect a ton of drama. Like, will Otis get caught for charging students to tell him their darkest deepest secrets? Will everyones secrets get out? While we all probably wish we had this show back in high school, it really does seem like it will give out a great message. In the trailer, Otis can be heard saying, "You can't choose who you're attracted to. You can't engineer a relationship. You are who you are. Don't let anyone take that away from you."

Sex Education premieres on Netflix on January 11th. That's a Friday night, so get ready to binge the series in one night! You can watch the trailer below.
